individual&#8217;s state of well-being is related to his or her daily personal and professional life, to the people around him or her and to the various circumstances of the external environment.\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"spacing \"><\/div>\n<section class=\"anim-fade-up blocs anim-fire\" data-component=\"scrollfire\">\n<div id=\"bloc-43\" class=\"bloc bloc-text bloc--full \">\n<div class=\"bloc__content optimal-content-width \">\n<div class=\"bloc__content-front show-on-ready\">\n<div class=\"bloc-text__content\">\n<div class=\"bloc-text__media bloc-text__media-- bloc-text__media--top bloc-text__media--over\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"content-writable\">\n\nIn this article, we present the risks that can affect our mental health at work, and how to preserve our state of well-being.\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1f550de exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"1f550de\" data-element_type=\"widget\" class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<strong>Our mental health can be affected in the workplace <\/strong>by a number of factors, such as the nature of the job or working hours, the characteristics of the work environment, lack of career prospects or discrimination and inequalities based on factors such as race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, social origin, migrant status or religion. According to half of the world&#8217;s working population, the best-known factors that can damage our mental health in the workplace are:\n\n\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n  <li>&#8211; <span style=\"color: #1ac1b3; font-weight: bold;\">Excessive<\/span> workload or pace of work, lack of staff ;<\/li>\n  <li>&#8211; Long, inflexible hours <span style=\"color: #1ac1b3; font-weight: bold;\">that<\/span> are incompatible with social life;<\/li>\n  <li>&#8211; Hazardous or arduous working <span style=\"color: #1ac1b3; font-weight: bold;\">conditions<\/span>;<\/li>\n  <li>&#8211; Violence, harassment or bullying;<\/li>\n  <li>&#8211; Under- or over-promotion;<\/li>\n  <li>&#8211; Job insecurity, inadequate pay or lack of investment in career development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n&nbsp;\n\nImbalances in our mental health can cause us many problems, both physical and moral, such as: sleep disorders, back or headaches, digestive problems, mood swings, memory loss, withdrawal&#8230; etc. To avoid work-related mental health problems, employers are advised to take organizational action that focuses directly on working conditions and work environment.\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0e8d505 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"0e8d505\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tTo protect mental health in the workplace, it is important to :\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n  <li>&#8211; <strong>Train managers in mental health issues <\/strong>to help them perceive the emotional distress of their subordinates, and develop their interpersonal skills, such as open communication and active listening, to help people speak out.<\/li>\n  <li>&#8211; <strong>Train workers <\/strong>to improve their awareness and knowledge of mental health, so that they can avoid and detect the signs of psychosocial risks.<\/li>\n  <li>&#8211; <span style=\"color: #1ac1b3; font-weight: bold;\">Implement<\/span> <strong>interventions <\/strong>aimed at individuals to teach them how to manage stress and reduce symptoms in the event of mental health problems.<\/li>\n  <li>&#8211; <strong>Ensuring <\/strong>a good work-life balance <strong>for your team <\/strong><\/li>\n  <li>&#8211; <strong>Hold &#8220;one-to-one&#8221; meetings <\/strong>to find out what your employee likes and dislikes about his or her work environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>&nbsp;\n\nSeveral methods and tools to promote a good working climate and preserve employees&#8217; mental health.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c26e2a1 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"c26e2a1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div
